The sunny but not rainy May 27, 2005
Posted by clayton in : workout , add a commentI don't remember when I last saw the sun. Today was a fairly nice day even though it's still the rainy season on this island(Okinawa, Japan). I was able to go ride my bike, which I haven't been doing for about four days. I went to the small mountain close by my house and it was a really tough ride. It was a forty-four minute ride and I thought I've gone pretty far but according to my little computer thingy, I only rode 16km. I couldn't believe it…but one good thing is that I was able to set a new goal. And my goal is to be able to ride the small mountain within thirty-five minutes.
The sunny rainy May 25, 2005
Posted by clayton in : workout , add a commentIt's sunny today, but for some reason it's raining at the same time. I looked at the sky from my room and it was sunny. I looked at the sky from the living room window, and it was just about to rain. I'm pretty sure that I could only swim today. If I get one of those cool things that you could use indoors, I will be happy no matter what the weather is. That's number one on my wishlist. Number two is one of those cool eyewears. I need it to protect my eyes from all the small garbage that flies to me when I go out for a ride. Number three is one of the drink bottle thingy that you could put on the aerobars. It's called Podium quest revolution hydration system. Number four, is triathlon shoes. and my list goes on…
How my week usually goes
Posted by clayton in : goals, reviews, schedule... , add a commentMonday: come home from school around 4:30pm. Go out for a 40km bike ride (or the 45min work out) at 5:00, come back home before 7:00. Eat dinner, take a shower and then go swimming from 8:30~9:30pm. Come home around 10pm and go to bed around 11pm.
Tuesday: come home from school around 4:30pm. Go out for a 40km bike ride at 5:00pm, try to come back home before 7:30pm. I try to take it easy so I could have enough energy to wake up next morning. Eat dinner, think of running but I end up not running. take a shower and go to bed at the usual time.
Wednesday: same as Monday.
Thursday: same as Tuesday
Friday: same as Monday.
Saturday: wake up at 7:00am and go out for a ride around 8:00am, come home around 11:00am, and then I either go out somewhere, study, or take a nap.
Sunday: same as Saturday
one thing that I hate about my schedule is that, there's no running planned in it. I'm thinking of fitting it in maybe around Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The only thing that I know for sure is that I will start running before summer break.
Where'd the sun go?
Posted by clayton in : workout , add a commentToday's weather was suppose to be rainy but when I got to school, the sun was out and it seemed like it won't rain for awhile. The nice weather lasted for a pretty long time so I was guessing that I'll be able to go out for a ride to the small mountain. Five minutes after I got home from school, it started raining so hard, I couldn't believe it. The sun was just shining a few minutes ago…I haven't been riding my bike for four days now, all because of the rain.
It's raining again May 23, 2005
Posted by clayton in : workout , add a commentI was thinking about riding up and back down the mountain that I just found out was farely close to my house but because of the rain, I have to make it tomorrow. The weather forecast tells me that it's going to be raining for another week. I haven't ridden on my bike for like two or three days, and that's really sad…I really need to train myself for next April. I am pretty sure I'll be able to swim 1500meters and bike 40km but the run part is still a big problem. I do take swimming lessons…………………….
A new bike spot May 22, 2005
Posted by clayton in : workout , add a commentThere's this one small mountain where a lot of bikers ride and I just figured out that it's near my house. I have two problems.. First of all, I don't know how to get there, second, I just started biking like a month ago so I still don't know how hard it is to go up and down that mountain. The bikers who train there say there's a lot of up-downs and that it's pretty tough. I'm thinking of going there after the rainy season ends but it just still doesn't seem to end.
Just don't know what to do
Posted by clayton in : workout , add a commentI'm always telling myself that I'm going to start running next monday, but it never happens. I have never really done anything about it either. I don't know how I should train, that's probably one of the main reasons. If anyone knows a training program for a beginner, please, please, please tell me.
Rainy season's almost over and THANKS PoC!!
Posted by clayton in : workout , add a commentI don't really have much to do during the rainy season… So I guess I'll start making my blog a better one. First of all, thanks PoC, I really don't know how to use my computer although, I bought it like two years ago…If I do this right, my bike pictures will be on my album, I guess. A GIANT TCR AERO and a DUNLOP mountain bike( I don't know what the bike is called so I kinda just named it that way) I hope I do everything right.
the first time i ever loved my tires TWO TIMES!! May 20, 2005
Posted by clayton in : workout , add a commentI just came back from a 70K ride and it was the first time ever that I ran over two large things.
After I rode about 20K I was kinda tired because I haven't been riding for a long time. I wasn't paying attention to the stuff on the road for awhile. Then, I heard this one large explosion and I thought I died for a second until I found out that it was just a BIG piece of glass. I was pretty sure that I got a flat tire so I stopped and checked my tires… It was perfectly fine!! And that's the first time I loved my tires, and the second time was when I heard the second explosion. I was pretty sure I was dead this time…but I was still riding my bike!! I assumed that I was alive, looked back and saw a can of coca-cola, and it was a diet coke. I checked my tire again thinking that after the first incident, it had to be weak but my tire is really strong: That's the second time I loved my tires today…other than that, the ride went pretty well.
oh ya, does anyone know how to put pictures onto this blog?? im still new to this and im having trouble trying to put pictures of my bike on here. please tell me how… thanks!!
