stopping for awhile June 18, 2005

I have an exam coming up in 11days or so, so I'm going to have to stop my workouts other than going to the pool. I noticed that I have 10 subjects to study, which is probably going to stress me out. The exam is going to be lasting for three days, June 29th, 30th and July 1st. But after the exam is done, I have from July 2nd, all the way to August 31st to do all the workouts I want to. That's probably the only reason why I'm going to stop working out for awhile. I hope I get atleast an 80 on every exam…

wetter than ever, but still had a fairly nice workout

When I got to school this morning, I couldn't get any wetter. The rain, wind, cars and the new born rivers were soaking me. I took an umbrella, which was useless with all the cars flying the puddles at me. My new nike shoes were soaked also, which was pretty sad. Because of that, I had to walk home barefeet. When I got home, I used my PE clothes and did "the 45min workout". It sounds easy because of the time, but it really does make you tired. After that, I was going to study for 1hr 30min but I found this interesting blog about a triathlete. She's a Japanese-American, like me. Born in America, came to Japan, speaks Japanese too…I do the same stuff too, that's why I started reading the blog and when I noticed, it was time to go to the pool. I had a slow going swim tonight, it felt nice, and the only part I didn't like, was that the coach kept on letting me do the breathstroke. Other than that, It was pretty nice. Now, I'm sleepy…sleepy…slee…sl…s…zzzz

some stomach problems June 16, 2005

Today, I didn't go to school because I had this weird stomach ache in the morning. It was probably the curry that I ate last night that killed my stomach. So I took a day off, and obviously, I can't have any workouts but I'll study a lot today so I can get some time for workouts tomorrow. I'm most likely going to get better by tomorrow because my medicine is really killing those stomach ache bacteria whatever kinda guys who were trying to kill my stomach. Tomorrow, I'll train for 1hr 45min and study for the same too.

Kinda wet

It rained a lot this afternoon too. Luckily, when school finished, it was only sprinkling. Yesterday's wind went away, so I managed to get "a little wet". I took a nap today, and didn't do any workouts… I still need to study, study, study…for the test coming up.

After school, I had to walk back home in the rain. The sad thing is that the wind was really strong… I opened my umbrella, which almost broke on the way, but I still got wet. Especially my pants. I came home, changed my clothes, and when I noticed, I was sleeping with my cat. I was going to do that training that made a short workout feel long, but I just didn't have any strength left. I have a test coming up, so I don't really have anymore time to do anything but study.

Today, it was pretty much raining all day which means that I didn't get to go out for a ride but it was a fairly fine day because I got the time to try a new workout that was on one of the monthly triathlon magazines that I recently bought. I'm supposed to do this on the rollers but since I don't have one, I used my aerobike thingy. First, you warm up for 10min. Then, you pedal with just your right foot for 1min and try to keep your cadence somewhere around 70rpm. Do this three times for each leg. After that, you do a power training so change your gear so that you could "feel" the heaviness while you pedal. Keep your cadence around 55rpm and do this for 10min. Then, do a "high" cadence training which goes like this. Change your gear so that you barely feel like your pedaling and keep your cadence above 100rpm. Do this for 10min, cool down for 10min and your done!!

Haven't done this in a long time June 12, 2005

I road my mountain bike for about one hour today, and I noticed that I haven't been ridden it for awhile. I probably went about 15km and it was an easy ride. On my way back, I found this really steep and long hill so I thought I should see how long it'll take to get to the top of it. So I climbed the hill and when I got to the top, I noticed that I forgot to time myself. One thing I know, is that I got there "pretty fast". It was much easier than I thought it would be. I found a new runing course so I guess the ride was okay.

First time June 10, 2005

Today was the first time that I rode my bike and came back home without even riding 10km. There were three reasons for this to happen. First, I forgot my gloves and I was still going to go for a ride. Second, I noticed that my handlebar is crooked and I needed to fix it. It's probably because I dropped it once. And third, I got stuck in a traffic jam. For some reason, there was a lot of traffic today… I'm going to go to the bike shop and fix my bike tomorrow. I hope I don't have to order a new one…

I found this one huge park, I'm guessing it's the prefectural park and it is a nice place to run. They have a 4km, 5km and one more longer running course. That's probably where I should start running because I heard that it doesn't have so many hills. I'm pretty sure I could run 5km but I have never ran 10km so it's probably going to be a little tough for the first few runs.

Active, tired, and excited June 1, 2005

Yesterday, I had so much energy that I did three sets of my muscle training, rode my mountain bike for 20km, and went for a one hour swim. Even after I finished everything, I had some energy left but today was different. I was perfectly fine at school but after I got back home, I got this one headache so I wasn't able to do anything. I'm excited because it's June, and I get to use my schedule that I made by myself. During June, the theme is going to be biking, July, running, and August, swimming. Then, I'll probably go back to biking for two months because there's going to be a race around November. I just hope that it won't rain as much as May.
