A new beginning July 31, 2005

I am going to start working out from tomorrow again!!!!!!!!! My cold is almost completely gone and I think I am ready for a new workout. Since all the workouts that I usually do felt so far, I was kinda lonely…I'd probably stick to long and easy workouts for awhile. My August goals aren't changing, and I am looking forward in catching them too!!!!!!!! I hope everybody else gets the chance to catch their August goals and GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should be better by tomorrow July 29, 2005

After getting some medicine that works from the doctor, my cold is getting better. The medicine that I took before I went to the doctor didn't work too well. To tell the truth, it barely worked… What I learned is that next time I catch a cold, I'm gonna go straight to the doctor. If I'm better tomorrow morning, I'm thinking of doing a slow morning run and after that, I study a little for the test coming up in September, eat lunch, take a nap, learn KARATE at school, go for a bike ride, and then finally have my first swim lesson in the advanced class!!!!!!! It's just about a year from when I started swimming in the beginner's class, and it was pretty long. The REAL summer vacation starts tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

Not much to write about July 28, 2005

Fourth day taken from my cold, it seems like it's getting better a little but I still need some more time. I bet it's gonna be hard to get back on track with all of my workouts…I hope I get better and wish everybody good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Third day taken, not feeling bad about it though… July 26, 2005

The third day was taken by my cold. It's probably the medicine that's making me not feel bad about it. I gotta get it better by tomorrow because I have to practice KARATE for the PE day program kinda thingy. It's gonna be around October but I guess the teachers want the students to make it look really good. Here's my opinion, it's too early and useless, going to school during summer vacation just to practice KARATE????that's just crazy…I don't have anything against the people who like KARATE but I hate it when the school do these things…Why should I get me to get my cold better? I have another reason!!!!!! and IT is because I am now in the advanced course in my swimming school and my first lesson in the course is tomorrow. If I don't have a lesson tomorrow, I think I'll just let the cold take over me for one more day…hehe

Second day taken away

I still had my cold this morning. No run, no bike, YES swim. I was so sleepy during the day because of the medication but I still went to my swimming lesson. I brought back some good news…I have been swimming in the intermediate course for seven months or so, and it was today, my coach told me to try out for the advanced course from the next lesson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way, I do believe in my own belief which is, Good come after bad or the other way around. My cold was meant to be!!!!!!!!!!!!! or not… Before I go back to the swimming school, I still gotta get my cold better. Need some rest…Anyway, to the people who are having a miserable time, please resist!!!!!!!!! and you'll have something good happening soon…To the people having a wonderful time, make it last forever, stay gold, stay gold!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess I'm somewhere in the middle or sumthin.

One careless mistake took a day away from me July 24, 2005

The night before yesterday, I left my airconditioner on all night and yesterday morning, I caught a bad cold. I usually turn on the airconditioner and set it to turn off in three hours and I forgot to do that. I used a whole tissue box just to blow my nose. One good thing about this is that today is a rest day and I have the whole day to just get my cold better. But still, I hate making all these mistakes. I really wanna get better by tomorrow morning but I might have to miss out on the good-morning swim that I was gonna do. My head still feels kinda dizzy, probably because the medicine I just took, so I can't think of anything to write other than I hate colds. I hope everybody doesn't catch a cold, and take care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No bike today…and a little about yesterday's bet July 23, 2005

The reason why I'm not gonna do a hill climb is simple, I forgot to wash my shorts!!!! Now, I know I am stupid. But I did have my first run this morning and my legs feel weird so it doesn't really matter, I also have to swim tonight anyway.

Oh yeah, yesterday, I made a long-term bet with my friend. The bet goes like this. If I'm able to get on the newspaper for a triathlon reason (like winning a bike, run, swim, triathlon race) by July 21, 2010, my friend is gonna buy me lunch but if I'm not on the newspaper by then, I have to buy him lunch. And the bet still goes on. If I get on the newspaper, I have to get a sponsor in 2years from the day I'm on the newspaper. Again, if I make it, he buys me lunch, if I don't, I buy him lunch. My side of the bet doesn't finish yet!!! This time, it's a tough one. I have to either be in 1st or 2nd place in the All Japan triathlon tournament by July 21, 2011. Then, here comes my friend's side of the bet. He plays on the softball team of my highschool, and the bet is that if his team wins the prefectural tournament and goes to the Kyushu tournament, or in other words, the Southwestern portion of Japan tournament I buy him lunch. His doesn't end either. If he is able to start working for the city office by July 21, 2011, I have to buy him lunch. That is a whole bunch of bets and I feel like winning!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, I have to train…hehe. Even though I lose on his side of the bets, it's still a happy thing isn't it?

My schedule for August, 2005

Posted by clayton in : goals, reviews, schedule... , add a comment

My goals for August, 2005 are:

swim: be able to swim more than 1000meters without stopping.

bike: finish the hill climb in 35minutes

run: be able to run 10kilometers in 40minutes

The workouts that I'll be doing are:

swim: go to the pool 4-7times a week.

bike: go do a hill climb every weekday!!!!!!! If it rains, I'll use my indoor trainer.

run: run atleast 2.5km every morning except Sunday. Doesn't really matter if it rains, I'll go as long as it's not a typhoon.

40seconds faster but SAD… July 22, 2005

I did the hill climb again today, and it was tough but not tough enough to get me to stop. The only reason that I didn't stop is probably because of the clouds. It was really hot today and the clouds were very friendly. Out of 3 tough hills, they helped me on 2. Since it was so hot, I focused on not attacking the hills, I probably wouldn't even if I was able to. I don't know if it was a big success but I did get myself 40seconds faster!!!! I went 0.4km faster on my average speed. My average cadence was 57. My time was 44:17 and I'm gonna try my best to make it around 39:59. By the end of summer break, I'll try to make it around 35minutes.

About the tournament that I was interested in, I guess it really was too soon. The swim coach over at the other swimming school that I went yesterday told me that it could be dangerous to participate in it this year. He suggested that I tryout next year and it's so painful, but I guess I'll listen to him…I'm stupid…But he is a coach so…so I guess my first triathlon tournament will be around April, 2006. SAD……

Some fun in the pool July 21, 2005

Today I went to a different pool to take a lesson, and it was fun. First, I was all nervous and stuff but after 10minutes passed, I was able to swim like I always do. The coach over there is a nice guy, and the triathletes over there are also very nice. It was a tough swim. The whole training menu was something that I have never done so I had a hard time catching up to the other swimmers. The hardest thing was swimming 25meters with the least strokes that you're able to do. My best was somewhere around 18 but one of the triathletes did it in 8strokes. But they said I'm doing pretty good compared to other people who swam for a year or so. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and I am looking forward in going there from August or maybe a little earlier.
