November, 2005 goals

First of all, my theme for this month is to make my daily life better (sleep at a certain time, good habits, etc…) because I thought it could affect my workouts in a good way if I get plenty of rest and make the workouts a habit.

Swim: The usual thing, I'll go to the pool 4times a week and have the coach teach me on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday will be my little weekly "test" day. I hope to swim 20000m this month.

Bike: I will start getting back on the road bike. I'll have my usual MTB rides to the pool and back. Since I found a new hill, I think I'll try it with my road. I'll ride however much I can.

Run: I'll run longer distances even after the half marathon. Longer distances as in longer than 10km…Try to get used to the fuel belt which really bothers me. I hope to run more than 100km this month.

Daily life: I'll be in bed by 11:30pm. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, I'll have some study time. Atleast 1 hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 2hours on Saturdays and Sundays.

My little idea for future motivation: I'll put in 10yen per km when I run and 10yen per 2km when I bike. 100yen per each swim that I go to. I'll be so glad I did this when I open my money box. I still need to go buy a little piggy bank or something…

Reviews on October, 2005

Swim: I went for 15swims (19950m). Dammit!!! I should've gone 50m more!!!! That's why I said I wanna go 20000m this month…I think I really improved both speed and endurance in October, although it was the "run" month.

Bike: Not much to write. Didn't ride on my road bike this month but my MTB 14times (138km). The hills are getting easier but other than that, nothing…

Run: I went for 11runs (92.5km). I guess it was an okay month just looking at the distance that I've ran. I think I improved both on speed and endurance just like my swim. The shoes and foot drag method really helped.

Today's workout: I went for a swim and did 2000m. The sad part…it took me one whole hour!!! All of them were 50m intervals so that'll be 50m*40. It was a 1min15sec cycle till a lot of people started swimming in the same lane. I had a 5km run, 1st 9:32, 2nd 10:31, total of 20:03.61. It was really tiring for some reason. Also had the usual 6km MTB ride to the pool and back.
