The revenge November 9, 2005
Posted by clayton in : workout , add a commentI had the usual tiring day at school today. A little bit suprised that I wasn't thinking about going to the athlete whatever course or not. After school, I came back home and took a loooong nap. My legs are back to normal, well they were already normal last night….but just took the nap anyway. I took it easy with my swim too, 1600m. One thing that bothered me was that my MTB isn't working so well nowadays. The gears don't shift, the breaks keep on breaking without permission and the little stand is broken. This weekend, I'm gonna fix everything.
The swim: I went to the swimming pool and while I was resting, I asked my coach for a revenge. I asked him yesterday too but he was like, "uhhhh, maybe." but today he said, "okay." It's gonna be the Okinawa Marathon and it'll be on February 26, 2006. Here's the deal, if our racing number is 1000 away, there's gonna be a 10min handicap since I had an awful time making my way through the crowd at the last half marathon and he didn't. There's gonna be much more people in this one so that'll be fair. I couldn't really focus on my swim, I was just trying to figure out a way to beat him!!! What am I gonna do? I think I'll go with the ultramarathon schedule, thanks Libor!!! My goal is gonna be 3hr30min because that's my coach's PR. My plan is to let him go the first half and get him around 30km and run away, am I evil? hehe…
Thoughts about the athlete course: Right now, 90% of me is telling me to try it. The coach said that I'll have to swim with the 6th graders and climb my way up but it's worth a try, isn't it? He said I'll probably make it to the jr. high class in 1 to 3 months. That's only IF I make the effort, I won't just go there, swim with my brain not focusing on anything and go home.
Tomorrow: I'll have to figure out a way to go to the swimming pool if my MTB doesn't work well. Anyway, looking forward for a nice swim, Wednesday is form day!!! Just for now though, we'll probably start intervals before the sprint coming up in 3weeks which I have no interest in…It's just not the right season, especially for people who don't have their wetsuits yet (me!!).
